This workshop was created for frazzled, dedicated people who provide care or services to others. This workshop addresses the negative self talk that comes from perfectionism or fear of disapproval, and the guilt or unease that comes from putting oneself first. If you and members of your work group, organization, fellowship, or service organization regularly stumble over these issues, this workshop is for you!
In this 1 1/2 - 2 hour workshop you will
- Identify and compare what matters to you with your level of satisfaction in 10 life areas.
- Prioritize time and energy based on what's most important.
- Discover when you are "frazzled" by turning inward and paying attention to your behavioral resistances, your body's signals, your moods and your energy.
- Question false beliefs, assumptions, and bad habits and exchange them for ones that honor you.
- Identify what you enjoy most about the 6 most time intensive areas of your life and develop ways to appreciate them more.
- Learn fast and easy relaxation techniques, and use visualization to create what you want.
- Become aware of when to say "no" to others and "yes" to yourself and create a plan to do this.
- Create an "intentions" list to specify activities you will add to reduce stress and how often you will do them.
